How to make a Seat Harness for your Firefighting Turnout Gear

If you prefer a seat harness over a belt for your escape system, but can't afford the cost of a commercially made harness - This video will show how you can make your own and integrate it into your turnout gear for as little as $4.00.

Using 1 or 2" webbing is not only extremely inexpensive, but it's also lighter and less obtrusive than a commercially made seat harness. Integrating the harness into your gear protects the webbing from heat and reduces the likelyhood of the harness becoming entangled. For Firefighters who prefer the comfort of a seat harness over an escape belt this is a viable and cost effective alternative.
