Hampton, NJ-- Companies arrived to 74 New Street to a house that was completely leveled by what appeared to be a propane gas explosion. Dispatch reported that two people a man and woman were in the house at the time of explosion but only one escaped. A retired captain from the Plainfield Fire Department in NJ who lives nearby tried to rescue a woman trapped under debris but the flames hampered his efforts, a female body was later recovered from the home.
