Fully Involved Ambulance Fire While Transporting

From YouTube: While a Prompt Ambulance was transporting an asthma victim to an area hospital an electrical fire started, the ems crew immediately pulled over just north of 61st Ave on I-65 and off loaded the patient. Fire crews along with a second ambulance responded. The victim and the ems crew were transported to area hospitals. Merrillville FD and Hazmat crews knocked the fire and contained a fuel spill with the help of Hobart FD. Nobody fighting the fire was injured and investigators were working on the cause

Car fires off gas even more dangerous toxins than a residential home. The ambulance patient care compartment is loaded with plastics, that burning taste and smell is HCN fellas.

The overhaul phase of this video with the Chief's making entry from the rear sets the example.

Scott- SCBA is over rated apparantly! There's so many photos and videos out there now depicting all the wrong stuff....
