in my eyes its been years since a ff in detroit died on the job be cause of not wearing there gear exactly right or wearing there masks only when its absolutly needed so if it works y change it

Look at it this way also. if your going to pick apart a small rural vollie dept to shreds, when even they dont have the Budget for gear, training, ect, These guys have all the budget, all the gear, and everything they need to work correctly and safely. And here they are not doing it.

OLD SCHOOL??? Try dinosaurs , I was being sarcastic with my questions and if it's the same way in Detroit then it needs to change there too.

there were officers present and the fdny is old school iron lungers so no masks is normal and the guy with no coat or helmet i would guess to say is the driver on the truck its all the same way most of the time here in detroit

It's like a rubber stamp should be made. How many times do we have to say it FULL P P E at all times when in an area of I D L environments. If that door flashed count the victims. Are there no officers present ? There is a big difference between working safely and taking ridiculous chances.

So they cut the door open..in smoke conditions..no one wearing masks..1 guy with no coat, helmet, or gloves, walking INTO the smoke conditions, and partially into the building, looks like minimal to zero eye/ear protection, bunch of guys standing around, and then they just walk off and do nothing with the door way they just cut open? Granted they could have come right back and entered, Cool video none the less. But funny we don't see much Critiquing of FDNY operations.
