Fireman Shows 7-Year Old the Fire Truck During Iowa Fire

Posted by Myke Goings on YouTube - MY RAW VIDEO -

At 21:48 Friday, 2013-04-12-FR, Waterloo Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire at 511 Cutler Street (W Arlington Street).

From Battalion Chief Michael Moore - The fire started in the basement when a spark from a welding torch started cardboard on fire. The resident tried to put the fire out but the smoke got to thick and he knew he had to get out of the house. The fire was contained to the basement.

After the fire was out and during a lull in the action a Waterloo Firefighter walked over and put a fire helmet on Tanner Spauding, 7, from Evansdale who was standing on the other side of the street watching with his Step-dad Duane Van Wie. The fireman walked Spaulding to the fire truck, showed him the water pressure gauges and control valves, walked Spaulding to the other side of the truck and showed him what was going on towards the house. SPAULDING WAS NOT IN ANY DANGER AT ANY TIME!

One big happy family! That's awesome! I think a brother was born right there.
