East Amherst FD Structure Fire 14 Oak Ridge
East Amherst Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a bedroom fire on Oak Ridge Dr. Chiefs were notified enroute that Police were on location reporting a working bedroom fire. East Amherst 9-2 went on location with heavy fire from the #3 side of the dwelling. East Amherst 9 further reported an exposure problem on the #4 side and the fire extended into the attic of the story dwelling. The fire was knocked down in 13 minutes. Mutual aid companies were Swormville, Getzville, Main Transit (FAST), & Clarence Center (fill in @ East Amherst). Damages are listed at $$180,000 and the cause is under investigation.
