Buckinham Township, Pa.-- The fire was at P&R Industries Inc 3826 Old Easton Rd a 55,000-square-foot chemical factory that makes an industrial protective coating called Arbonite, which is used to line tankers and other types of containers.

Battalion Chief 19 arrived on scene around 5:30 am and reported a 100x200 industrial building with heavy fire though the roof, all hands going to work. Rescue 29 is the fast team and also requests the tender task force. Command reports the building is filled with multiple 55 gallon drums of various chemicals, requests the hazmat team to the scene. Tower 24 and Ladder 79 go to work setting up ladder pipe operations.

Command requests the 2nd alarm and all companies will be operating defensive operations only. Battalion Chief 19 reports the building is fully involved with heavy fire through the roof and the entire structure involved, flames are reported over 30 feet into the sky. Battalion Chief 19 reports the fire is unlikely to hold with 2nd alarm companies and ads an additional tender task force.

The 3rd alarm is transmitted for a fully involved industrial building fire all companies are operating ladder pipe and defensive operations. Companies had the job under control around 7:30am and were under extensive overhaul operations opening up the roof and interior with hot spots. One firefighter was reported transported to a local hospital with a medical emergency.
