Oklahoma Emergency - At around 9:45 Friday night, Deer Creek & Oak Cliff fire departments were dispatched to a structure fire. Further information said that the garage was fully involved. Crews had visible smoke and flames from multiple miles away. Deer Creek Engine 2 arrived on scene of a large 1 story house with a fully involved garage that was extending into the house. Oak Cliff Engine 91 arrived on scene and teamed up with DC Engine 2 and tried to make an interior attack, but he fire had already seated itself in the roof and crews had to back out and go defensive. Due to the volume of fire and the size of the structure, 2 tankers from Cashion were requested, along with tankers from the original departments. A water shuttle was being used to help get water to the scene, since there were no hydrants. Crews had 3 handlines in place, 2 of which were 2 1/2 lines. Crews were on scene for many hours doing overhaul. No one was injured in the blaze, but the house is obviously a total loss.
