StamfordFireMedia. This is the expanded dispatch and fire ground radio transmissions from a reported chimney fire that occurred in the Long Ridge Fire District in Stamford, Connecticut. Automatic assistance from Stamford Fire Rescue and the Turn of River Fire Department was also dispatched, but cancelled by a Long Ridge Assistant Fire Chief prior to his arrival or arrival of any Long Ridge units. Once the first Long Ridge Engine arrived on scene, they quickly learned that they had more than a chimney fire. An excellent learning tool for all Fire Officers about what never to do when responding.
