A wildfire that erupted this morning just West of Boulder, Colorado has engulfed at least 3000 acres and forced the evacuation of hundreds of people.
According to local officials several hundred people have already been evacuated and numerous structures including homes have burned down to the ground.
Huge plumes of smoke from the massive fire can be seen from as far away as Denver, Colorado. One of the first towns threatened by the flames is the historic gold mining town of of Gold Hill, Colorado just West of Boulder.
