Charlotte Fire Dept. - A first alarm assignment arrived at 401 East 15th Street shortly after 16:00 on March 16th, 2011 to find heavy smoke and fire issuing from this self ventilated single family dwelling. Ladder 1 commenced an aggressive interior attack from the rear of the structure, and in conjunction with the balance of the assignment, brought the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. The Fire Investigation Task Force self dispatched and determined the fire to be incendiary in origin. There were no injuries reported.
