Charlotte Fire Dept. - On December 14, 2010 at 10:26 AM (14) Companies of Charlotte Firefighters, (1) Heavy Rescue Company, (4) Battalion Chiefs, (1) Deputy Chief, (1) Emergency Management Coordinator, (3) Fire Investigators, and (2) Fire Inspectors responded to a greater alarm fire at 6304 Reafield Drive in south Charlotte. At least eleven residents were displaced and although there were no human causalities, one canine perished. Fire Investigators said the fire began in the attic space and was caused by an electrical failure. Damage is estimated at $750,000 to $1,000,000.
