Charlotte Fire Dept. Twenty-three firefighters from Charlotte Fire Dept including nearby stations 12 and 16 responded Tuesday afternoon December 22nd to a passerby's 911 report of an apartment fire at the Yorktown Apartments, 5620 Flagstaff Drive, near the intersection of Tyvola Road. An electrical problem in one apartment was the apparent cause of the fire, which caused $20,000 in damages. No injuries were reported in the incident, but two families were displaced from their homes. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross and the apartment complex property management company which is relocating them to vacant apartments. Brisley added that the residents of the apartment where the fire started, two adults and two children, were away from home at the time of the fire. They returned to find that firefighters were able to salvage the majority of the Christmas presents under the family's tree
