Scion142 - There was a house fire in a neighborhood in Sunland, California. I just happen to live right across the street! The homeowners were not home when the fire broke out in the attic. Firefighters from the City of Los Angeles arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. The house was badly damaged. Luckily, no one was hurt and the homeowner has fire insurance. I'm not sure why they are randomly cutting vent holes in the roof, or why they opened it up in the first place.  It's an attic fire.  Maintain your compartmentation, pull ceilings or access through attic stairs...put the fire out.  Not impressed with LA.  10 people on the roof?!
