Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Playter St. Engine 22 went on location with heavy fire & smoke showing from 2 dwellings. B-43 reported the 2 story & 2 1/2 story dwellings vacant & requested additional equipment bringing Engines 35,28, & Ladder 6 to the scene, & ordered defensive operations. B-56 requested the balance of the 2nd alarm & 1 additional Engine (31) to the scene. The fire was under control in 48 minutes. The cause is under investigation & damages are listed at $25,000 to the main fire building & $10,000 to the exposure building.
