Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Thornton Ave. Engine 23 went on location with fire in the attic of a 2 1/2 story dwelling & further reported fire through the roof. B-56 reported the attic fully involved and crews were protecting the exposures. B-56 also requested 2 additional Engines (E36 & E31) to the scene due to malfunctioning hydrants & low water pressure. The fire was contained in 60 minutes & placed under control in 84 minutes. The cause is under investigation & damages are listed at $30,000 to the main fire building & $1,000 to the exposure at 14 Thornton
1 FF suffered a minor lower back injury and was taken to ECMC to be looked at.
