brush fire extends to houses in Glocester, Rhode Island

What began as a contained outside burn turned chaos on March 30, 2011 in Glocester, RI on Centre Rd in the towns' Chepatchet section just after 11am as the fire got out of control and spread to 3 sheds and 2 houses, leaving 2 families homeless.

Units received calls of a brush fire but upon arrival, they knew they had more than that. A 2nd and 3rd alarms were quickly called bringing in extensive mutual aid to help fight the out of control fire.

It took over an hour to bring the fire under control.
