Bronx 3-Alarm Fire
Newsworking. 23:00 hours Bronx Fire Dispatch transmitted box 2700 (Intervale Ave & 167 St.) for a fire in a multiple dwelling at 1078 Intervale Avenue. On arrival, a 10-75 was transmitted. Crews found heavy fire on the top floor of the 3-story O/M/D. The fire was "doubtful" and with extension into the cockloft, the second alarm was transmitted.
6 handlines were stretched and in operation (5 interior, 1 roof) and 3 ladder companies were placed in service in front of the building.
