August 27, 2009. The sounds of sirens and the rumbling of thunder in the far distance became an event that brought all the residents of Sunrise Bluff out into the parking lots. The smoke bellowing out into the evening sunset set the stage for the burning of Unit 20. Just 40 yards from my unit I watch with others, video camera at hand. The surreal scene and the smoke raising into the evening sky was a bit to much for the resident to take in as they watch with horror and wonder of a 3 alarm fire. Here is my version of what I witness and filmed. I later learn that a dispute between a couple in the unit set of the deadly flame that burn on the third floor. The couple infighting let to the female setting the bedroom on fire as if vendetta was the proper punishment to their relationship. Fourteen apartment were closed down and residents without a place to live at Sunrise Bluff. The Police claim that arson was the crime and if the woman was found would face a possible 20 years behind bars....August 27, 2009.
