Apartment Building Fire in Whitehall, PA

At 2301 hrs Whitehall fire responds to a report of a structure fire at the Helfrich Springs Apartments, Building Z. Deputy 35 (J Shambo) arrives and finds a three-story Occupied Multiple Dwelling with smoke showing. Upon further investigation, he finds a balcony and its contents burning on the second-floor in the rear of the building.

Engine 2 arrives and stretches one handline to the second-floor interior while crews stretch a second line to the exterior for overhaul. The fire was out within minutes. Crews searched the floors above and all came up negative.
