Allentown (PA) House Fire
Newsworking.com - Box 2254 was transmitted at 22:55 hours for a house fire at 539 Pratt Street in center city. Engine companies 4, 9, 6, Truck 2 and Battalion 4 (Grim) respond.
BN 4 arrives and has smoke from a vacant two-story duplex and transmits a "working fire". Engine 4 stretches two lines in from North Law Street. Crews force entry and quickly darken down a fire in the basement. Shortly afterward, firefighters detect an odor of natural gas and PD evacuates the immediate area.
The fire is under investigation by the fire marshal's office.
