Post Wildland Knee Injury - Orthoscopic Surgery

I thought this would be a cool thing to post. My Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Richard Ryu of Santa Barbara, CA has folks come to him from all over the world for treatment. It was amazing to be in his exam room and see photographs of several major movie stars and sports personalities that have been repaired by this doctor. What you see here is a specialized tool that shaves off loose components of the meniscus and vacuum them away along with torn and broken cartilage. All that's left to see on the surface are three small holes. The technology available is absolutely amazing!

After a MRI, a ripped meniscus was discovered along with chunks of cartilage floating around. This video was provided to me by my doctor after my knee was worked on using orthoscopic surgery. Amazing the simplicity of the operation compared to how they used to do it. I only have three small holes on my knee that were used to insert the tools to complete the job. Dr. Richard Ryu, world renown orthpedic surgeon here in Santa Barbara did the operation to ensure that I can get my life back!
