The Drill is based on a solution on the Nance Case in which Ohio FF John Nance lost his life when he ran out of air .
Members of that Dept. tried with out success to rescue thier Brother including lowering a ladder thru the hole.

The frustrations of seeing and communicated with FF Nance for some time as conditions got worse. haunted many of the idividuals that were involved in Rescue attempt.

This drill Honors those Brother's as well as FF John Nance and family.
