just rest in peace, my fallen brothers, for sure you will be remembered in heaven.
please pray for his wife and the wife's, girlfriends and families of the rest of the firefighters who lost their lifes that day

and for the rest of us who are able to watch this video, please remember, this could and can happen to any of us Fire Fighters, EMS personel, Law Enforcement or any any one of the many branches that deal with this type of work.

God Bless

That is a fantastic way to honour a firefighter. RIP Louis and your fellow brothers. And Rest In Peace all firefighters, worldwide who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their fellow man. In Memory of Derek Lovell, SSO NZFS, Hamilton, New Zealand.

I'm very glad to see Captain Mulkey's work and life honored with this wonderful video. He would be so proud of his team. That night, standing there at attention saluting as each and every last one of those guys was brought out, my outlook on my career of firefighting was forever changed. This really hits home for listening to the clips from the tapes again as I am getting married in a month and it strikes a whole extra chord of reality. The dangers we face are perplexing. Let us not forget their sacrifice or bring dishonor to it by ignoring the preventable safety issues around us where we work every day. But let us also not bring dishonor to these 9 by ignoring the cause of our calling. To preserve life and property taking necessary risks as we go.

Thank you Captain Mulkey for the wonderful example you have set for the rest of us to follow, as a man, a teacher, a leader, a coach and a fireman. You, Melvin, Billy, Mikey, Earl, Brad, Mark, Brandon, and Mike will never be forgotten.

Thank you very much FASNY. This has got to be the most awesome video I have ever seen.

Tears? Definitely.

Sumter finished with 51 points before the shot was overturned....51 = 15 backwards...

RIP Brother Mulkey. You will not be forgotten.

If this doesn't move you to tears, then you have a stone where your heart should be.
As stated above, this is the OTHER side of the fire service; this illustrates just exactly what we're all made of inside, why we do what we do, and the dedication, heart and drive that drives us all.
This is a love story in the very best sense of the ideal.
