At the 2008 Heroes Breakfast, the Greater Chicago Red Cross honored the everyday heroes in our community -- regular people whose actions change lives. Tom Taff of Chicago received the Firefighter hero award award for raising more than $800,000 for the Bucks for Burn Camp, a summer camp that builds self-esteem of and friendships between young burn survivors.
