Boston Triple Decker Fire: Proper PPE Use?

A triple decker fire in the Mattapan area of Boston. Posted on YouTube as taking place April 18th, 2008. You'll notice on several of the roof scenes firefighters with open coats, no SCBA, no helmets, etc.

Considered by many as "one of the best in the business" and a mentor Fire Department,,, I find it unfortunate that a Department with such an elite status is being shown neglecting many aspects of safety 101. Cameras introduce the world, including new recruits, to what we do. Some good, some bad. Its VERY difficult to teach and demand FF safety on the fireground when these things show up, doesnt matter who or what Department you are. I guess you never know when the world is watching. Perhaps this is better suited in the " what not to do " catagories.
