ok, why do you call it a flash??
"The scientific definition of flashover states it is caused by the radiation feedback of heat. Heat from the growing fire is absorbed into the upper walls and contents of the room, heating up the combustible gases and furnishings to their auto-ignition temperature. This build up of heat in the room triggers flashover." from workingfire(dot)net
If that'd been a backdraft, the firefighter breaking the glass would've been blown across the scene when the first air entered. Nice flashver...great vid altogether...
My concern here is the lack of PPE some of the crew is not wearing including the guy who I assume is an Officer in the gray shirt. He is an accident waiting to happen wandering around on scene dressed lkie he is going golfing. Some real fine work by most of the crew though. They sounded the evacuation horns on the trucks like everyone is taught, their hose work was nice too.

Yes but popping the window he is giving it oxygen, which causes a backdraft. A flashover can happen without a sudden burst of oxygen. He is actually reducing the heat which would prevent a flashover.

To be honest isn't that a back draft, not a flashover.
This is a good example why we all need to work as a team . This fire crew did a great job and i beleive this vidio should be used in training. Great job well done .
