Naughty Dawn! Driving towards a fire to be a spectator? What do you think of spectators when you're trying to get to or working at a fire? Crown fires make for good photos and video though, I will agree :)

Your department was there for two weeks - was that the same crews or changover? We're only at a big fire for 3 days at a time then crew change.

I just happened to be visiting family in Black Hawk when the fire broke out. So of course the fire bug in me and my cousin decided to drive to the fire when everyone was driving away. Our fire department ending up getting paged out the next day. We stayed there for 2 weeks. First week on the fire line and the second week on severity watch.

Hey, Great Shot. I was on this fire with a truck from Torrington, Wyoming. First Forrest Fire. Long Day it was.
