The M1142 Tactical Fire Fighting Truck (TFFT) is an Oshkosh/Pierce made truck. It is built for Army Firefighting Units (Active, Reserve, and National Guard). It can perform Crash (airport), Structural, and Wildland. This video was put out by Pierce and shown to units right before they receive and get the training to operate it. They used the HEMMT chassis (common parts through-out the Army) and put firefighting componts for us to do the job..

That truck is sure a giant step above our old 530 C which was a duce and a half truck that WArd LaFrance put a fire pump and water tank on, It had a crash turrant on top off it.I would love to put this newe one through it paces.

Question? The TFFT, is the controls (pump panel) located up top by the crew compartment? I had a chance to see one of this units and I forgot to ask about the pump controls. Thanks!

THAT IS BAD A$$. I could only imagine the busted blood vessel our mayor would have if we told him we want this truck. Would be nice to have tho.
