Do not assume what you see is stupid or very stupid... 144 Truck is right, this is an old video.

This was an open house demo - possibly during fire prevention week? There was an Emcee on the audio who was describing the evolution to the public. I was told the entry people seen in turnout gear were non-certified firefighters who were walked through what they were supposed to see and do. The walk through SIMULATED the evolution without the use of any fire.

Being new, wanting to please everyone, being on display for our loved one's and the public. All stressors that should be considered before saying stupid. It is obvious that they are untrained, nobody would crawl into that intense fire, even the outside firefighter (FF#3) doesn't recognize that the first two are in big trouble...

No fault to any of the injured, they were UNTRAINED and clearly didn't understand the limitations of our PPE, SCBA, fire behavior and hose and streams. Ultimately the fault should be placed solely on the department's leadership and supervision.

That's been around for a while.... Absolutely one of the most unconscionable and egregious violations of nearly every fireground safe operations rules I have evre seen.. Damn lucky they didn't kill somebody.

I agree that was very stupid. The officers need to reevaluate their training plans.
