Phenomenal job on the side of the Police Officers. It just kinda opens the discussion up a little, like did the fire crews do a 360 degree assessment? If so, would that have changed their attack?

All in all, I am also with everyone above. They need a pat on the back!

I have to agree with everyone above..they did everything right. Also we have the same situation as Tammy k. we are very short man-power during the day on our vol. dept. so every kind of help helps!.....And truely i would prefer a officer to help, because they have been on many fire scenes and they know what is going on. Other than some joe-blow that doesn't have any experience. so I would say thank you to those officers.

I'm gonna fall in line with the others on here so far. I think they did an awesome job stopping the spread of that fire until more help arrived. This was a fire in a Row Home, and we all know how bad they can turn out if you don't contain them as soon as possible. I'm thinking a job well done by those police officers.

I completely agree with the other 2 comments. As much as we dislike each other (cops vs firefighters) at times, we have ALL sworn to protect the communities we serve in. I think what they did was very good, maybe not the safest (PPE) but very needed. I know in my Volly dept. during daytime calls, at times we are VERY thin, every pair of hands is needed. Also, by the look of how they handled that hose, they have done it before.

Whats the big issue, it looks like they helped provide an ext. attack while the first crew did a search or came in from the front to push the fire towards the back of the building. I also would thank them, by the way alot of our law enforcement have fire training because they are members of a vol. dept.
