Not to mention that he was ALONE! The early debriefing on this one should emphasize that we DON'T freelance. I saw a lot of FF's walking around alone, and a couple go in alone. How many were in? Where were their partners?

This also shows the need to vent the structure as well. Had the roof been opened and the heated gasses released before any attempt to enter, this probably would not have happened. The video also shows someone finally getting on the roof, but why? there was no tool in his hand to vent the roof or hose to hit the fire on the rear of the roof. He also was walking all over the roof that, given the extent of that fire, that roof could have given way, he should have been working from a roof ladder.
