Walnutport Station 29 was dispatched to a hair dryer on fire at 253 Pine Circle at 2250 hours. Slatington (24) and Lehigh Twp (47) also were on the ticket for the first alarm.

Chief 29 (Kirchner) arrived minutes later and signaled a working fire in the living room of a one-story single-family dwelling (S/F/D). Quint 29 arrived and stretched a handline to the living room and knocked down the fire there and in the bedroom. Chief 29 struck the second-alarm as the fire extended into the cockloft. Minutes later the fire vented through the roof. The fire was contained and under control within 30 minutes and the companies wasted no time taking-up.

The second alarm brought in Slatington and Lehigh Twp for a full response along with Palmerton's Tower Ladder.
