At 15:00 Coplay and Whitehall were dispatched to 1131 Tapler Drive for a house fire. Upon arrival, chiefs found a service line to the house down over the street and heavy fire at the point where the electric service enters the house. Once crews managed to get a handline on the fire, it was quickly darkened down.

Coplay Engine 511 was first on scene followed by Whitehall Engine 13. A 2nd alarm was struck for more manpower. Whitehall Engines 4, 14 and Truck 6 were on the ticket for the 2nd alarm. Truck 6 crew went to the roof to ventilate while interior crews ripped down ceilings and checked for extension. PPL was called to disconnect electric service to the house. The fire was out in about 30 minutes.
