From You Tube; At 5:10 PM, Fire & EMS responded for the reported house fire in the 1100 block of 8th St., NE near Gallaudet University. Engine 10 arrived to heavy smoke showing from the front of the building on both floors of the two story row house. Access to the basement was gained, and the fire was knocked down quickly, but not before some extension was realized to the first floor. Searches were negative, and no injuries were reported. Damage was heavy, and the cause remains under investigation.
