i have many family members that are firefighters. my late brother was a lifetime member of the lakemont volunteer fire department. i also have three cousins that are with the altoona fire department. all of the firefighters are like my family as well.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

i love firefighters because they risk their lives to save others.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

responders face the unknown everyday when they answer the call. they run into burning buildings risking their lives to save other people & their property. they face danger everyday. they are the real citizen soldiers. they fight i different kind of war than all of the branches of armed forces put together. they fight the most danerous enemy. the enemy known as fire.
