Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I have a passion for major trauma and medical emergencies. Every call requires different knowledge and skill to be used to help that certain person. My opinion says it takes a special person with a true meaning and a care for people to be in EMS. Its a calling. Think about this. How many people can save a life or help bring one into this world and watch one pass in the same day? I never know what the next call or tomorrow will bring but thats what keeps me going.

I have the knowledge that when I lay my head to sleep I have helped someone in their time of need.
