Top Issues Facing Responders:
Training, with proper training comes everything the firefighter needs in order to protect life, property and keep himself safe. Unfortunately the state , county and feds seem to talk out of both sides of their mouth. The left says first responders do a fantastic job and we owe them a great deal. while the right cuts funding to balance the budget. Thank God our fire departments are run my intellegent resourceful people who have adapted and can still get the job done. It is a pity that in the smaller communities our brothers and sisters have to struggle with outdated equipment and rely on donated or nearly donated trucks and turnout gear.
