About Me:
In my past I've been a firefighter, an actor, a singer, a writer and a traveler. An old english professor of mine once gave me the idea that I should build a troupe and go traveling for a year, acting to earn my way. Coupled with a love of theater, my experience working in B-movies and more than a dozen stage projects since I was very young with a number of small groups in and around the Ann Arbor area--not the least of which were the Comic Opera Guild and the University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society--I fool myself into believing I have some class and couture :)

I play a number of instruments, from most brass instruments to a piano that needs to be tuned again, playing everything from classic pieces to blues and jazz. I'm also a terrible sci-fi and anime nut, so you really must have a taste for both to really have any hope of grasping my sense of humor. I like traveling, and thus far have added a cruise to the Bahamas, a dozen-odd trips to see "the Mouse," a sojourn to my family's hereditary lands in Dorres, Scotland outside Inverness and a shopping trip through the districts of Shibuya in Tokyo.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
When I was 16, I overheard my stepfather's monitor, as a police officer who located a serious accident called for help, panicked at the seriousness of the single patient's injuries and the fact that she was dying before his eyes. He didn't know what to do. I made myself a promise that day, that I would never be that man; a few days later I went to my friend's funeral. She had been rear-ended by a drunk driver, and was found on a lonely road after the drunk had run away.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I take great pride in serving the public trust.
