I work full-time for an EMS Agancy in Charlotte NC. I also work part-time and Volly for 2 combination Fire and Rescue departments. I love my jobs. They are the best in the world. I enjoy the family life style that are at all 3 of the departments that I am a part of.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My family is involved with Fire and EMS Services and I followed suit. I love having the chance to help my community each and everytime I go to work. I enjoy the great family life style that is in the Fire Department and In the EMS services. The friendships that are created are great.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

911 Abuse is a pet of mine and I am doing a study on how it can be cut back. I know that some departments pride themselves on their high call volume but alot of money and time could be saved if 911 abuse was cut back. I lost a close friend (and my partner at work that day) when the truck he was driving ran off the road and rolled killing him instantly. We were going to the same place for the same Fire Alarm for the 5th time in the past 2 days so one of my life goals is to help find a way to cut back on 911 abuse.
