About Me:
I started as an Emergegcy Fire Fighter for The Bureau of Land Management in Montana while in College.I spent ten years fighting Wildland fires in MT.,CA.,OR.,ID.NV.,as a Sector Boss,Div.Boss and Fire Boss on Campaign Fires. I moved East in 1972 and joined the local V.F.D. the Yantic Fire Eng. Co.#1.I started out as a Firefighter and became an E.M.T.I then became an Emergency Medical Service Instructor for CT.I have held the ranks of Res.LT.,Res Capt.,Fire Capt.and Asst. Chief in my 38 years in the Y.F.D.I am presently a Firefighter and still active.It is a young mans job so I have stepped back and leave the heavy lifting to the younger men

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
It was extra money while employed by the Bureau of Land Management in Malta,Montana as a College student.After graduation I was hired as a Natural Resource Specalist by the B.L.M in California.I attended various U.S.F.S.and California Division of Forestry Fire Schools Schools.After 10 years in the West I moved East and joined the Yantic Fire Engine Co.#1. I just enjoy the challenge of fire fighting.
