My Training:

Getting lots of training in the 8 or so months that I have already been with the department. The guys are great and willing to show you anything that you want to learn about. I am looking forward to learning a great many more skills. We do a lot of volunteer work, which I have done in the past and I really enjoy that aspect of the department.

About Me:

I am a chef and have been cooking for 20 or so years now and haven't had to deal with many fires in the kitchen, but have set off a few smoke alarms ;0) I enjoy volunteering and getting involved with the community and being a part of the Schreiber Fire Department definitely gives me an an opportunity to do both.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I had been interested for a number of years, mostly due to friends who were already involved. My boyfriend joined the dept. the year before me and I started spending time there and getting involved because of him and was consequently encouraged to join. I love it!!! It's a great way to know that you are helping people - if only my job didn't get in the way!!!

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Learning new skills/interaction with great people!! Especially our Chief!!!
