About Me:
I'm getting very close to graduating. I'll be finishing high school with my AA because of the fabulous Running Start program in Washington state, so I'm exploring all my options. I'm seriously considering becoming an outdoor leader for an organization like Outward Bound because I grew up back packing and hiking every chance I got. I'd like to learn more about a career in firefighting or something like it. PLEASE share your wisdom with me.

Hello Mer,
I understand your love of the outdoors. I too have a similar fondness for hiking and what not. So in addition to being a regular old structure firefighter, I went and became a wildland firefighter also. You may consider that to augment your career.

Welcome to the family where the language and reasoning importate the border is not in our work is to save lives regardless of color, religion or social position, much less. The important thing in our work does not need language to communicate, or borders to help.
