Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I have always been fascinated with the firefighter field, I mostly got in it for the education aspect, to learn more about Hazmat specifically. I love what I have learned so far and hope to learn much more! I also have a few family members who served as Fire Police, however, I cannot serve as a firefighter due to a chronic back issue.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

It's very exciting! I also love the meaning of teamwork!

Top Issues Facing Responders:

I think the biggest issue I would have is the disappearance of volunteer stations, there are not enough who want to sign up as a volunteer. This is causing a shortage in smaller districts.
