Why I Joined Fire/EMS
When i was 3 i saw my dad pull someone from a burning building. After that i started riding with him to firecalls and helping out around the fire house. I always wanted to be like my dad. I joined to fire department so i could spend time with my dad.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Breaking shit at house fires. and helping people in need.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
To many politics

Its 3 o'clock in the morning the temp is -15 degrees. Im awaken by the sounds of a high pitch tone followed by a low pitch tone. A voice then fills my room. I get up and get dressed. I run down the stairs and out to my truck. I pull out of my drive way and i drive to a address described to me by that little voice i herd in my room. I put on a special suit which weighs close to 100 pounds. I grab my weapons of choice which is an ax and hose. I go into a pitch black house filled with toxic gasses. I enter a room filled with fire and the temp is close to 1200 degrees. Within seconds the room once filled with fire is now filled with steam and again its pitch black. Next I return outside soaked with sweat and soaked with water from the hose. I just from a 1200 degrees room to a
-15 degrees cold december morning. Instantly i become a sheet of human ice. I am a Volunteer Firefighter and I love every minute of it. No one can force me to do the things that i do. Even though i do get paid, i would do this job for free.

FDNY Lt Killed in line of duty

Posted on January 4, 2008 at 12:30am 0 Comments

A Lieutenant from Engine Company 249 in Brooklyn was killed in the Line of Duty this evening. Initial reports are that companies were operating at a hi-rise fire and had wind driven fire and heavy smoke conditions. Please lets say a prayer for our fellow brother and may he rest in peace. To all other firefighters play safe and be careful.

Hey Jon,
Email me at srosier@rosierhouse.com.
Hell I've got a surpriseair cylinder that I haven't cut yet. Might make a lamp out of that one!!! You gotta cut the bottom, get wood and route the wood to fit the bottle, then drill all the way through the valve to make it work.

Tools:
Chop Saw ( or hand grinder with cut off wheel)
drill
Circular Saw
Router
Sander
Screwdriver
vise
Patience
