About Me:

In 1976 I started in fire fighting as a youth member of the Inver Grove Heights Volunteer Fire Department until I entered active duty as an army medic where I spent muich of my time woring in the emergency room and base ambulance oat Ft. Sill, Ok
I later became an LPN and joined the Spring Lake Park, Blaine, Mounds View Fire department but had a falling out with a fire chief Since 1994 I have worked on various different wildland fire crews from call when needed rosters contractors, and federal fire crews.

I enjoy serving my community and nation and try my best to be there to help others in time of need.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

It is a true calling to walk in while everyone else is running out.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Hiring and Human Resource issues. Too much of the wrong type of politics behind the close doors. Many fire departments can have ugly hidden problems within their leadership and management skills and with no oversight from their cities future harsh headlines are very possible
