About Me:

I started out in EMS in 1989 while in highs school, I got my EMT_ A now known and EMT- B while in high school, in 1992 I was graciously named Outstanding EMT for southwest va at age 17. I have been named Member of the year twice at CLintwood Rescue Squad. I now owrk as a full time paid member there and love every minute

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I knew when I was five years old that this is what I wanted to do, watching my dad belong to fire and rescue agencies, seeing first hand the compassion that some of the older members had with me and my family when we needed them, and the pure love of helping people, the thrill and excitment of every call where you know that what you done made a diffrence in someones life even if for a minute of getting to tell the person they hold dearest goodbye for the last time.
Things have changed so much of the years, making it harder to have the compassion and enthusaism that was once there, but then you have get that one person that says thank you and makes it all worth it again.
