About Me:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I have married into the "family business," which is commitment to our vital volunteer fire and ambulance service to the local area.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I have always wanted to give back to my community, friends, and neighbors and have found a vehicle to make it happen.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Retention of the capable volunteer, the rapidly aging volunteers, the appeal to youth in our area to volunteer, and acceptance of those who don't view the volunteer service the same way as the devoted/ and those that are sold out to volunteering. Building bridges with "mutual aid departments" over old grudges and hard feelings.
