My Training:

I LOVE TRAINING! Where do i start! I've traveled to 5 different states for training and i'd like to go farther! Training is so important in the fire service today because things are constantly changing for the worse! Building construction, Auto technology, and more importantly, people. My interest or specialty i guess you would sy is in RIT, search ops, interior fire attack, and firefighter rescue and self survival. I love EMS too!

About Me:

I am 26 years old. I have lived in Scales Mound Illinois my whole life. I joined the fire service at 18 and have been hooked on it since! Words can't describe how much i enjoy it and how passionate i am about it! Our department is an all volunteer department that makes about 200 calls a year. Mostly medical but i enjoy that part of it too. I've been trying for the last 2 years to get hired full time somewhere but have had no luck. I'm gettin closer though!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

To help people. Just the simple fact that when someone is in a time of need, i get to go and help contribute to the mitigation of the problem no matter what it may be!

i love people and the diversity of Fire and EMS situations! It's challenging at all levels!
