About Me:

Assistant driver on Engine comp. first 4 years and last 8 spent on Ambulance 22. I have been EMT-P 8 years. I live in a town of approximately 30,000 people and the EMS covers the entire county. We average approx. 7,100 calls per year with 3 stations. 75% of our Dept. are EMT-P. 80% of our call volume are EMS in nature. We work the standard 24/48 schedule so that is a third of our lives at our home away from home. I hope to soon be re-assigned to Ladder truck comp. or engine comp. soon with a promotion to Lt. Until then I will be plugging the holes they already have and making a few new ones as well.

I have always wanted to be a Firefighter since i was a small child and the thought of just helping someone gives me a since of fulfillment.
